Scrolling Image With Video Lightbox Using Divi Supreme Modules Plugin

by | Jan 3, 2020 | Divi Theme, Web Design, Wordpress

Today we’re going to create a scrolling image with a video lightbox effect. To do this we are going to use the awesome Divi Supreme modules plugin, there is a free version and a pro version, you can download them from my affiliate link here. The scrolling image effect is really useful especially if you have long images, this plugin will create a square module, when you hover over this module it will scroll down the full length of the image. This is a great effect and can be used to link to an external page, an existing product, a video lightbox pop-up, or anything else that you may wish to link to.

To start building a scrolling image with video light box we need to enable the visual builder, create a row, then when prompted add the Divi Supremes scrolling image module. What’s the module has been added, a box will pop up with the module options. Scroll down to image and add the image that you desire, obviously this works best with loan images. When you have chosen your image, the next step is to decide what you want to happen when people click on the image. As mentioned earlier you can have it open in a light box, link to another page, product or external URL. Old that can be achieved from the link tab.

Expand the link tab. For all demonstration today we are going to link off photo image to a YouTube video, this module also supports other video providers such as Vimeo etc…. To connect to your desired video, go to YouTube and get the shareable link. But in the module video light box switch is enabled under the link tab. Then simply paste your YouTube video URL into the URL box within the module.

That is pretty much it, very simple. You can change many other settings also such as the speed at which the image scrolls, and of course you can add the other usual divi effects such as border, box shadow, animation and anything else you might need. Once you are happy with your image save your module changes, save the page changes, an exit the visual builder. Now scroll down to where you were working, and you should have a great scrolling image that will open up the YouTube video when you click on it. That is how easy it is to create a scrolling image with video light box, using the Divi Supreme Modules plug-in.
