Google map – how you can embed a live Google map into your WordPress site
Here’s a short video showing you how you can embed a Google map into your WordPress site. This is an this is an excerpt from an up coming build a WordPress eCommerce course. WordPress is a huge website building platform. It keeps getting bigger and better, and is used by millions of people worldwide to create their websites. A Google map to your website can be a really nice touch. Google makes it very easy to do this. Just open your favorite browser, go to Google and type in Google Maps. When in Google Maps just type in your desired address. This will bring up a location map of your address. As shown in the video, you can just click on the share icon move over to the embed map tab and it will generate the iframe embed code for you. Just copy this embed code, go over to your WordPress site, go to the page you want to edit, or create a new page. Once inside the page you will see two tabs on the right side. One tab will say visual and one tab will say text. This is important! You will need to click on the tab that says text. 
Now just paste your Google Map embed code into the page at your desired location. This will render the live map at that point on the page.
A nice little trick that we have also included is showing you how to make your Google Map full width. You can just edit the iframe code width element and change its attribute – 100%. Then when you refresh the page you will find that your map is now or what full width.
Now when your customers visit your website it will make it very easy for them to find your location, and also to get directions to your location via the Google Map with just a few clicks.
